Michael Czysz conceives the ‘Digital Motorcycle’

2009-01-29

Confident that simply exchanging an ICE (internal combustion engine) for an electric motor made no sense, and on its own would not improve motorcycles or their riding experience, Michael Czysz set out to define what an electric motorcycle should be.

"I saw this as an opportunity to not only improve what existed but to determine what should exist." –MC

Czysz challenged and considered elements beyond fuel type and consumption, beyond power delivery and chassis dynamics, to elements of obsolescence and ownership.

"When I realized that we could build and sell a 250, then you could upgrade that in minutes to a 500, then a 750- I realized this was a true digital approach to an industry of analog offerings." - MC

'Digital' products with true open architecture allow owners to keep and continue enjoying their product for many years, if not decades. This is in stark contrast to the current disposable mentality in a world of planned obsolescence.
